Microsoft has officially rolled out a new round of Xbox console price increases, with the updated pricing taking effect August 1. The changes affect multiple Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X models, while one console has also been removed from the lineup.
The latest adjustments push the prices of both entry-level and premium Xbox consoles significantly higher, making this one of the largest hardware price revisions since the current console generation launched.
Updated Xbox console prices
Microsoft has confirmed the following price changes:
- Xbox Series S 512GB – $399 → $499
- Xbox Series S 1TB – $449 → $599
- Xbox Series X 1TB – $649 → $800
- Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition – $599 → $750
- Xbox Series X 2TB has been discontinued
Alongside the new pricing, Microsoft has also discontinued the Xbox Series X 2TB, removing the high-capacity model from its current console lineup.
The company has not announced a direct replacement for the discontinued model, meaning the remaining Xbox Series S and Series X variants will make up the hardware lineup moving forward.
The new prices take effect August 1, meaning customers purchasing an Xbox console from that date onward should expect to pay the updated retail prices.
