Microsoft has revealed the second wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for August 2026, bringing another nine games to the service across Xbox consoles, PC, cloud, and handheld devices. This month’s second wave includes three Day One releases, with Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy standing out as the biggest addition.
The new lineup will roll out between August 19 and September 1, with different titles becoming available depending on the Game Pass subscription tier. Several games will also expand their availability to Game Pass Premium, while Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers will receive access to the new Day One releases.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate / PC Game Pass
- Vapor World: Over the Mind (August 19) – A narrative-driven action game featuring Soulslike combat and platforming elements. The title arrives through Game Preview.
- Blood Dungeon (August 25) – A fast-paced 2D platformer coming to Game Pass as a Day One release.
- Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (August 27) – The latest entry in the A Plague Tale universe follows Sophia on a new journey to the mysterious Minotaur’s Island. It will be available on Game Pass from launch.

- BlazBlue Entropy Effect X (August 19) – The action roguelite expands its Game Pass availability to Premium subscribers.
- Relooted (August 19) – A colorful action-adventure experience joining the Premium tier alongside Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
- Starsand Island (August 20) – A relaxing life simulation game where players can farm, build, explore, and develop their own island life.
- Aerial_Knight’s DropShot (August 25) – A fast-paced first-person game centered around aerial movement and competitive shooting.
- Young Suns (August 31) – A new adventure joining Premium while remaining available through Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate / Premium / PC Game Pass
- Shelldiver (September 1) – The final addition of the second wave arrives across Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass.
Among the additions, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is arguably the biggest highlight. The game serves as a prequel to the previous A Plague Tale titles and takes the series in a new direction with Sophia’s journey to Minotaur’s Island. Its Day One arrival also gives Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscribers the opportunity to jump into the latest entry without purchasing it separately.
With the second wave now confirmed, August continues to be a busy month for Game Pass subscribers. Microsoft previously added 10 games during the first wave, meaning the service is receiving a substantial number of new titles throughout the month.
With another nine additions on the way, Game Pass subscribers have plenty to check out before the end of August.
