Sony has officially announced its next PlayStation State of Play, confirming that another presentation is coming in September. The showcase will bring new announcements, updates and footage from upcoming PlayStation games.
The next State of Play is scheduled for September 3, 2026, with the broadcast starting at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET. The presentation is expected to run for approximately 30 minutes and will be available through PlayStation’s official streaming channels.
Sony is keeping most of the lineup under wraps for now, so it remains unclear which games will take the spotlight during the presentation. Fans can expect a mixture of new announcements, gameplay footage and updates on previously revealed projects.
The event will also feature content from both PlayStation Studios and third-party developers. This leaves the door open for updates on several highly anticipated games that are currently in development.
One of the most interesting aspects of the announcement is what comes immediately afterward. Sony will follow the main presentation with State of Play Japan, giving Japanese and Asian developers a dedicated showcase of their upcoming titles.
State of Play Japan will be hosted by Yuki Kaji and will begin immediately after the main State of Play concludes. The two presentations will therefore give PlayStation fans an extended block of announcements on the same day.
