Steam users can now claim two different PC games for free for a limited period, giving players a chance to permanently add them to their libraries before the offers expire.
The first free game is Car Mechanic Simulator 2018, which can be claimed until May 27. The game puts players in charge of their own repair garage, where they diagnose problems, replace damaged parts, restore old vehicles, and manage a growing automotive business.
The simulator features dozens of customizable cars, realistic repair systems, engine rebuilding mechanics, and a progression system that gradually unlocks more advanced tools and upgrades. Over the years, the game has built a dedicated community thanks to its surprisingly detailed approach to vehicle restoration and customization.

The second free title is Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War, which remains free to claim until May 28. Unlike many Warhammer games focused heavily on story, Gladius centers almost entirely around warfare, strategy, and large-scale faction battles.
Players can choose between several iconic Warhammer 40K factions, including the Astra Militarum, Space Marines, Orks, and Necrons, each with unique units, abilities, and playstyles. The game combines turn-based empire management with tactical combat, allowing players to expand territory, gather resources, research technologies, and fight massive battles across a hostile planet.

While Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 offers a slower and more relaxing experience built around creativity and management, Gladius delivers a much more aggressive strategy-focused gameplay loop aimed at Warhammer fans and RTS players.
Both games are normally paid titles, meaning Steam users only need to claim them before the deadlines to permanently keep them in their libraries.
So, which free game are you planning to pick up first?
