Telltale Games has finally revealed the release date for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing the updated version of its popular narrative adventure to modern platforms later this year. The remaster will launch on October 29, 2026.
The announcement was made during Gamescom 2026, where Telltale also showed new gameplay footage from the remastered version. The game is being updated with improved visuals and technical enhancements while retaining the original story and atmosphere that made the series popular.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered follows Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of Fabletown, as he investigates a mysterious murder involving the town’s fairy-tale residents. The game’s darker take on familiar fairy-tale characters, combined with its investigation-focused story and player choices, remains one of Telltale’s most recognizable works.
The remastered edition introduces several improvements, including:
- Improved visuals – Character models, environments, animations, and other visual elements have been upgraded.
- Better performance – The game receives technical improvements aimed at providing a smoother experience on modern hardware.
- Updated UI – Menus and interface elements have been redesigned for a more modern presentation.
- Accessibility options – Additional features have been added to make the game easier to play for a wider audience.
- Noir Mode – Players can experience Fabletown with a new visual style inspired by classic noir.
- Bonus material – The remaster includes more than an hour of additional content, including behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, galleries, and deleted scenes.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. PC players will be able to access the game through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The remaster also arrives while fans continue to wait for The Wolf Among Us 2. Although the sequel has been in development for several years, Telltale has yet to provide a firm release date.
For players who experienced the original game years ago, the remaster offers an opportunity to return to Bigby’s investigation with a modernized presentation. Meanwhile, newcomers will have a chance to experience one of Telltale’s most popular narrative adventures for the first time.
