Kena: Scars of Kosmora has been delayed

Kena: Scars of Kosmora, the upcoming sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits, will no longer launch in 2026. Ember Lab has delayed the adventure game to 2027, giving the team additional time to polish the experience and expand its world.

The sequel will once again follow Kena, who has grown into a more experienced Spirit Guide following the events of the first game. This time, she travels to the mysterious island of Kosmora alongside her childhood friend Orfio as they uncover secrets surrounding their shared past.

The new adventure is set to expand considerably on the foundation of the original game. Kosmora will feature several interconnected cultures influenced by the four elements, with different regions offering their own characters, stories and challenges. Players will also be able to explore beyond the main path and discover additional areas across the island.

As Kena explores Kosmora, she will encounter ancient Alchemystic Temples that introduce dungeon-like challenges, puzzles and rewards. These locations will be an important part of the adventure and give players additional reasons to explore the island.

Another major addition comes in the form of a new crystalline canine companion that is closely connected to Kosmora. The creature will not simply accompany Kena throughout her journey, as players will also be able to ride it while traveling across the island.

The companion will also have an important role in combat. It can assist Kena during encounters both on foot and while mounted, while also helping her solve some of the game’s Alchemystic puzzles.

Kena: Scars of Kosmora is now scheduled to launch in 2027 for PS5 and PC. A specific release date has yet to be announced.
