While console players are preparing to explore Vice City later this year, PC players are still waiting to find out when they will be able to play Grand Theft Auto VI. A new report suggests that the wait could be much shorter than it was for the previous entry in the series.
According to a new report, Rockstar Games is targeting the first quarter of 2027 for GTA 6’s PC release. If the reported window is accurate, the game could arrive on PC by the end of March 2027, just a few months after its planned console debut.
Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar Games has yet to officially announce a PC version or confirm a release window for the platform.
The reported timeframe would mark a significantly shorter wait for PC players compared to Grand Theft Auto V. The previous mainline entry arrived on PC in April 2015, roughly a year and a half after its original console release in September 2013. Red Dead Redemption 2 also took more than a year to reach PC following its console debut.
A potential early 2027 release would therefore be a major change from Rockstar’s previous release schedule. However, the PC version’s development timeline remains unconfirmed, and the reported window should be treated as speculation until the studio makes an official announcement.
For now, Rockstar’s confirmed release plans remain focused on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. With the console launch approaching, PC players will have to wait for further details about the game’s availability on their platform.
