Microsoft and The Coalition have officially confirmed the Open Beta schedule for Gears of War: E-Day, giving players two opportunities to experience the game’s multiplayer ahead of its full release.
The beta will begin with an Early Access period before opening to all players a few days later. Those who have pre-ordered the game or qualify through eligible programs will be able to jump in before the public beta begins.
Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta Schedule
- Early Access Open Beta: August 6 – August 10
Available for eligible players, including those who pre-order the game. - Open Beta: August 13 – August 17
Available to all players.
The beta is expected to give players their first large-scale hands-on experience with Gears of War: E-Day’s multiplayer, including the series’ returning competitive gameplay and several of the new features introduced for this installment.
Earlier today, Microsoft also confirmed that Classic 4v4 Versus will return alongside the brand-new 12-player Horde Siege mode, updated movement mechanics, and a revamped progression system featuring seasonal content and post-launch rewards. The Open Beta will likely serve as the first opportunity for players to test many of those additions before launch.
Gears of War: E-Day is scheduled to launch on October 6 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass.
