Fortnite brings Fortnitemares to Universal Halloween Horror Nights

Epic Games is taking Fortnite into a brand-new setting this year. The popular battle royale is joining Universal Halloween Horror Nights through a dedicated Fortnitemares attraction, giving fans the opportunity to experience one of the game’s biggest seasonal events in person.

The attraction has been built around Freaky Fields, a haunted area inspired by Fortnite’s annual Halloween celebration. Rather than simply recreating locations from the game, the experience places visitors inside an original environment filled with themed decorations, scare actors, special effects, and references that longtime Fortnite players will immediately recognize.

Universal has also confirmed that several signature elements from Fortnitemares will appear throughout the attraction, including the iconic Battle Bus. Visitors can also expect encounters with familiar characters, Halloween-themed creatures, and interactive moments created exclusively for this collaboration.

The partnership marks another major step in Fortnite’s expansion beyond video games. Over the years, Epic Games has collaborated with movies, music artists, sports leagues, and major entertainment brands, but this is one of the few times the franchise has been transformed into a live Halloween attraction at a theme park.

The Fortnite experience will be available during Halloween Horror Nights 2026 at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, allowing guests on both coasts to explore the Fortnitemares-inspired area throughout the seasonal event.

Additional details, including exclusive merchandise and other themed offerings, are expected to be shared before Halloween Horror Nights officially begins.
