The latest update for Crimson Desert introduced one of the biggest quality-of-life improvements in the game: massive storage expansion.
If you’re constantly running out of inventory space, there are a few quick quests and items you should unlock immediately.
Start the Storage Quests
To begin:
- Open your Journal
- Go to Hernand Requests
- Accept two quests:
- Special Blueprint
- Early Enchanter

These are short and can be completed early with minimal effort.
Unlock the Cuckoo Cooler
From the Special Blueprint quest:
- Head near Anvil Hill and speak to the NPC
- Return to the Kiln Workshop (Grimner)
- Get the Cuckoo Cooler recipe

Once crafted, this storage lets you:
- Store food items (meat, vegetables, water)
- Free up a huge amount of inventory space
- Get the Collectibles Chest
From the early enchanter quest:
- Travel near the Naz River area
- Speak to the NPC and follow the objective
- Visit a furniture workshop
You’ll receive a collectibles chest, perfect for:
- Bounty notices
- Misc quest items
- Inventory clutter
- Buy the Gatherables Chest
Next, head to a furniture vendor:
- Either in your camp (if unlocked)
- Or near Hernand / Delessia areas
Purchase the gatherables chest, which stores:
- Ores
- Crafting materials
- Upgrade resources
This is one of the most useful storage upgrades.
Unlock the Wardrobe (Armor Storage)
For gear storage:
- Visit a furniture vendor in Delessia
- Buy a wardrobe
This allows you to:
- Store armor and outfits
- Keep extra gear without clutter
- Place Your Storage
Once you have everything:
- Go to your house or camp
- Place all storage containers
- Start organizing your inventory
The biggest advantage:
- Items stored in these containers are still usable instantly
- You don’t need to move items back to your inventory
- Crafting and cooking pull directly from storage
This removes a lot of unnecessary back-and-forth.
These storage upgrades are some of the most important improvements you can unlock after the update. They save time, reduce clutter, and make crafting much smoother.
If you haven’t done these yet, it’s one of the first things you should prioritize. Are you still managing your inventory manually, or using the new storage system?
How do you unlock storage upgrades?
By completing Hernand quests and visiting crafting/furniture vendors.
Can you use stored items directly?
Yes, they are automatically accessible for crafting.
