Voice chat has become one of the most popular features in Roblox, allowing players to talk with others during games instead of using text chat. However, the feature is not enabled automatically and requires a few steps before it becomes available.
Roblox calls this feature “Spatial Voice”, which lets players hear others based on their in-game position, making conversations feel more natural during gameplay.
How to turn on voice chat in Roblox?
Follow these steps to enable voice chat:
- Log in to your Roblox account.
- Go to Settings and open the Privacy tab.
- Verify your age using a valid ID if you haven’t done so already.
- Enable the Voice Chat / Spatial Voice option.
- Join a game that supports voice chat.
Once activated, a small microphone icon will appear in supported experiences.
