Forza Horizon 6 is still on track to arrive on PS5 in 2026. Playground Games has once again confirmed that the highly anticipated racing game will make its way to Sony’s console later this year, although an exact release date has yet to be announced.
The latest confirmation came through a new update for the game, where the developers provided details about the upcoming British Automotive content and introduced the new Drift Attack activity. The PS5 release window was also reiterated as part of the update.
Forza Horizon 6 PS5 release date

While Xbox Series X|S and PC players have already been able to experience Forza Horizon 6 since May 19, 2026, PlayStation players are still waiting for their version. Playground Games has not shared a specific launch day yet, so the game remains listed on the PlayStation Store simply with a release date to be announced.
Players can already add Forza Horizon 6 to their PS5 wishlist, allowing them to receive updates when more information about the release becomes available.
The game takes the Horizon Festival to Japan, featuring a large open world built around the country’s landscapes and automotive culture. The map includes everything from urban areas and mountain roads to coastal environments, while the game features more than 550 cars at launch.
The PS5 version will arrive after the game’s Xbox and PC release, but there is currently no indication that PlayStation players will have to wait until 2027. The latest update keeps the launch firmly within the 2026 window.
For now, fans will have to wait for Playground Games to reveal the exact date. With the development team continuing to provide updates, more information about the PS5 version could arrive in the coming months.
