The Blood of Dawnwalker has reached a milestone

The Blood of Dawnwalker has already reached a major sales milestone, with Rebel Wolves confirming that its dark fantasy action RPG has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide just days after launch. The game debuted on September 3, 2026, making the achievement an impressive early result for the studio.

Developed by Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by former The Witcher developers, The Blood of Dawnwalker is an open-world RPG set in a dark version of 14th-century Europe. Players take control of Coen, a young man caught between his human nature and newly acquired vampiric abilities.

Coen’s powers change depending on the time of day, giving players different ways to approach combat and exploration. The game also puts a strong emphasis on player decisions, with the story and world reacting to the choices made throughout the adventure.

Strong Start on Steam

The game’s launch has also been notable on PC. According to SteamDB, The Blood of Dawnwalker reached a peak of 64,438 concurrent players on Steam, showing strong interest from the PC audience during its opening days.

However, the Steam figure only represents PC players using Steam and does not include the game’s console audience or other PC storefronts. The 1 million sales figure, meanwhile, covers the game’s worldwide performance across its available platforms.

The milestone marks an important early success for Rebel Wolves, especially as The Blood of Dawnwalker is the studio’s debut title. With the game already passing one million copies sold, the RPG has made a strong start as the studio establishes its new franchise.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
