Riot Games announced price increase for VP and RP in Türkiye

Riot’s latest announcement for Turkish servers has reignited discussions about the balance of in-game economies. New price adjustments, described as “value updates,” are coming soon for League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, and VALORANT.

Citing currency fluctuations and regional pricing disparities, Riot Games is implementing a new pricing structure for Turkey. According to the statement, LoL and LoR prices will rise by an average of 34%, while VALORANT will see an increase of around 26%. Still, Riot is offering a small gesture to ease the transition for a limited time, players will receive double bonus RP, LoRa, and VP.

The company also shared the updated TL based price lists for each title, effective October 30.

Although the bonus campaign offers a short-term advantage, its effect will be limited, it only runs between October 16 and 30. After that, the new prices will take full effect, and Riot Access codes will reflect the updated rates.

While the increases align with Riot’s global pricing policy, such decisions are always sensitive topics for Turkish players. In-game currencies are tied not just to cosmetics, but to the competitive experience itself, making these changes both an economic and a community issue.
