These games leave PlayStation Plus soon

PlayStation Plus continues to bring fresh games into the library every month, but that also means we occasionally have to say goodbye to some we haven’t had the chance to finish or even start. It’s the classic backlog dilemma: you scroll past a game thinking “I’ll play that next week” and suddenly its removal date is right around the corner.

As Sony rotates the lineup, a handful of titles are nearing the end of their stay. And if any of these have been patiently waiting on your “I swear I’ll get to it” list, this is your last call to jump in before they disappear from the subscription. You can still keep them if you claim them while they’re live, but once the removal hits, it’s game over for easy access.

So before the next batch arrives, consider this your reminder: A few notable games are leaving soon and there’s still time for one more session.

Battlefield 2042 (PS5, PS4)

A large-scale multiplayer shooter with dynamic maps and 128-player battles; if you’ve ever wanted to join the chaos, now’s your chance.

GTA III: Definitive Edition (PS5, PS4)

A remaster of the classic sandbox game that started one of gaming’s biggest franchises, a historically significant stop on any backlog tour.

Arcade Paradise VR (PSVR2)

A quirky VR experience where you run your own laundromat by day and play arcade machines by night, the kind of indie twist PS Plus loves.

Sonic Frontiers (PS5, PS4)

A new-era Sonic title that blends open-zone exploration with fast-paced platforming; not perfect, but definitely ambitious.

Forspoken (PS5)

A narrative-driven action RPG with a magical world and fast movement systems, a somewhat divisive but visually striking experience.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition (PSVR2)

A VR adventure in the Star Wars universe, offering immersive lightsaber combat and story missions; a must for VR fans.

Firefighting Simulator: The Squad (PS5, PS4)

Cooperative firefighting missions where you and friends tackle fires, rescue civilians and navigate dramatic scenarios; good for group sessions.

Surviving Mars (PS4)

A strategy-sim city builder on Mars, focused on colony management, survival and exploration of the red planet; slower paced, but rich in depth.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew (PS4)

A multiplayer VR game (or standard version) where you assume crew roles aboard a Star Trek spaceship; perfect for team-play in a sci-fi setting.

That gives you a few weeks to decide what deserves one last play session or a first one you’ve been putting off for far too long. Once December 16th arrives, these nine titles will leave the PS Plus library for good, so don’t let your backlog get the better of you. Fire up your console, dive into a favorite, and make the most of the time left before the rotation hits.

More changes are coming soon, stay tuned to VGNW and X, we’ll be here to keep track of every update to the subscription lineup.
