The event, titled “Copper Cape Quest,” offers three different ways to claim the cape. But here’s a warning: each method has its own rules and time limits. If you want to secure your Copper Cape, you’ll need to act fast. Here’s how to get it:

How to Get the Free Copper Cape via TikTok

Normally, players can earn the Copper Cape by watching Minecraft streams on Twitch or TikTok. However, due to a temporary bug on Twitch, the fastest and safest method right now is through TikTok.

1. Open the TikTok app.
2. Type “Minecraft” into the search bar and switch to the Live tab.
3. Find a livestream tagged “Game Rewards” and join it.
4. Look for the reward icon in the top-left corner.
5. Keep the stream open for 3 minutes.
6. When time’s up, a reward code for the Copper Cape will appear.
7. Click “View rewards” and copy your code.
8. Go to minecraft.net/redeem and enter your code to add the cape to your wardrobe.

Note: The code may take until October 31 to activate. Don’t panic if it doesn’t appear immediately, it’ll be added to your account soon.

How to Earn the Copper Cape In-Game

If TikTok isn’t your thing, you can also earn the cape directly in-game through the Copper Cape Quest introduced in the Copper Age update:

1. Find and activate the Copper Golem.
2. Wait for the statue to oxidize, or polish it to restore its shine.
3. Once complete, the quest will activate automatically.
4. After finishing, the Copper Cape will be added to your Mojang account.

How to Get a Physical Code at TwitchCon

If you’re in the U.S. or attending TwitchCon, you can grab a physical Copper Cape code at the Minecraft booth in San Diego, between October 17–19, 2025. You can redeem it the same way via minecraft.net/redeem .

Players can activate their codes until November 19, 2025. After that, the codes expire.
