Xbox confirms Gamescom 2026 attendance with playable games lineup

Microsoft has officially announced its plans for Gamescom 2026, confirming that Xbox will once again have a major presence at the event with a large selection of upcoming games available for attendees to play.

The company will showcase several first-party and third-party titles during the exhibition, giving visitors an early opportunity to experience some of Xbox’s biggest releases before they officially launch. Xbox also confirmed that its annual FanFest event will return during Gamescom, offering additional activities for members of the Xbox community.

Among the biggest attractions at the Xbox booth will be Gears of War: E-Day, which is set to receive one of its first public hands-on demos. Visitors will also be able to try Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Grounded 2, and NINJA GAIDEN 4, alongside several other titles spanning different genres.

Microsoft has confirmed the following games will be playable at Gamescom 2026:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
  • Invincible VS
  • NINJA GAIDEN 4
  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – The Order of Giants
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
  • Final Fantasy XVI

Xbox says the lineup represents only part of its Gamescom plans, with additional announcements, stage presentations, developer sessions, and community activities expected throughout the event. More information about schedules and livestreams will be shared closer to the show’s opening.

Gamescom 2026 will take place in Cologne, Germany, from August 26 to August 30, and is expected to feature announcements from many of the gaming industry’s biggest publishers. Xbox’s playable lineup suggests the company is preparing one of its strongest Gamescom appearances in recent years.
