Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has received a new patch aimed at improving Ranked Play while also fixing several gameplay and technical issues across multiple modes.
One of the main focuses of the update is competitive balancing. Developers adjusted restrictions related to the MPC-25 weapon and several of its attachments in Ranked Play, likely in response to community feedback surrounding weapon balance in competitive matches.
The patch also resolves a bug involving Sentry Turrets and the Black Hat Field Upgrade, where players could become stuck while attempting to interact with deployed equipment during matches.
Outside of Ranked Play, the update includes additional fixes for Zombies mode, UI problems, challenge tracking, and general gameplay stability.
Here’s what the update includes:
- Ranked Play balancing changes for the MPC-25
- Fix for Sentry Turret interaction issues
- UI corrections for weapon fire mode displays
- Zombies challenge progression fixes
- Loadout and cosmetic bug fixes
- Stability improvements and gameplay optimizations
- Additional bug fixes across Multiplayer and Endgame
Although this isn’t a massive content update, it targets several frustrating issues players had been reporting recently, particularly within competitive playlists.
As Season 3 continues, developers appear to be placing more attention on Ranked Play balance and overall gameplay polish through smaller but more frequent patches.
So, do you think Call of Duty’s Ranked Play is improving with these updates, or does it still need bigger changes?
