Battlefield 6 is preparing for a large new update as Patch 1.3.1.0 arrives alongside Season 3. The update introduces competitive additions, gameplay changes, a brand-new Battle Pass, and several new weapons and maps aimed at expanding the overall experience.
One of the biggest highlights is the arrival of Ranked Quads in REDSEC’s Battle Royale mode. Players will now be able to compete in ranked squad matches, climbing through divisions and earning seasonal rewards based on performance. The addition pushes Battlefield 6 further into competitive territory while giving REDSEC a more structured progression system.
The new season also introduces a fresh Battle Pass filled with unlockable rewards, cosmetics, XP boosts, weapon skins, and progression items spread across more than 100 tiers. Alongside it, a premium-style progression option is also being added for players who want faster unlocks and exclusive content.
Beyond progression systems, the update includes a large amount of gameplay content and balancing changes.
Here’s what’s included in Update 1.3.1.0:
- Ranked Battle Royale Quads added to REDSEC
- New Season 3 Battle Pass
- New map: Railway to Golmud
- New weapons including:
- M16A4
- L115 Sniper Rifle
- RPK-74M
- Vehicle balancing adjustments
- Netcode and server improvements
- UI and audio updates
- Gameplay balancing changes
- Additional bug fixes and optimizations
The new map, Railway to Golmud, reimagines a classic Battlefield-style large-scale combat environment featuring infantry warfare, vehicles, and aerial combat. Meanwhile, the weapon additions are expected to expand loadout variety across multiple classes.
With competitive features, fresh content, and technical improvements all arriving together, this update looks set to become one of Battlefield 6’s biggest post-launch patches so far.
So, do you think Battlefield 6 is finally finding its rhythm with Season 3, or does the game still need bigger changes?
