Minecraft Netherite is one of the rarest and most powerful materials in the game. Netherite tools and armor are stronger than diamond, more durable, and even resistant to lava. However, finding Netherite requires traveling to the Nether and mining a special resource called Ancient Debris.
Steps to find Netherite:
- Enter the Nether:
Build and activate a Nether Portal using obsidian and flint & steel to access the Nether dimension. - Mine at the right level:
Ancient Debris most commonly spawns between Y-level 13 and 17, making these layers the best place to start mining. - Use branch mining or TNT methods:
Many players dig long tunnels or use TNT to clear large areas quickly and reveal Ancient Debris. - Smelt Ancient Debris:
Once collected, smelt Ancient Debris in a furnace to obtain Netherite Scraps. - Craft Netherite Ingots:
Combine 4 Netherite Scraps and 4 Gold Ingots to create a Netherite Ingot, which can upgrade diamond gear.

Finding Netherite can take time, but upgrading your gear makes you significantly stronger and better prepared for difficult fights.
Many players have different strategies for finding Ancient Debris. What method do you usually use to farm Netherite in Minecraft? Share your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned to VGNW and X for more gaming guides and how-to tutorials.
