The latest Pokémon spin-off is off to a strong start. Pokémon Pokopia has reportedly surpassed 2.2 million copies sold worldwide only a few days after its launch.
According to figures shared by The Pokémon Company, the game managed to reach this milestone within its first four days on sale, highlighting the continued global popularity of the Pokémon franchise. A significant portion of those sales came from Japan, where the series has traditionally performed extremely well.

Unlike the mainline Pokémon RPG titles, Pokémon Pokopia focuses on a different style of gameplay. Instead of the traditional gym-challenge formula, the game introduces a more relaxed experience built around exploration, building, and interacting with Pokémon in an open environment.
The project was developed as a collaboration between Game Freak and Omega Force, combining elements of life-simulation and sandbox gameplay. This approach aims to expand the Pokémon universe with new types of experiences beyond the classic role-playing formula.
The strong launch numbers also highlight the continued demand for Pokémon spin-offs, which have increasingly experimented with different genres over the years.
With more than two million copies already sold in less than a week, Pokémon Pokopia has quickly become one of the franchise’s most successful recent spin-off launches.
