Elden Ring features a massive open world filled with dungeons, bosses, and hidden locations. While exploring the Lands Between on foot is part of the adventure, traveling long distances repeatedly can quickly become time-consuming. Fortunately, the game allows players to unlock fast travel very early, making exploration much more convenient.
Steps to unlock and use fast travel:
- Find a Site of Grace:
These glowing checkpoints are scattered across the map and act as rest points where players can recover and manage their character. - Activate the Site of Grace:
Approach the golden light and interact with it. Once activated, the location will permanently appear on your map. - Open the world map:
After discovering Sites of Grace, open the map from the menu to view available travel points. - Select another Site of Grace:
Choose any previously discovered location on the map. - Confirm the fast travel:
Once selected, your character will instantly travel to that location. - Explore to unlock more points:
The more Sites of Grace you discover, the easier it becomes to move across the game’s large world.

Fast travel is essential for navigating the huge regions of Elden Ring, especially when returning to previous areas or preparing for boss fights.
But every player explores the Lands Between differently. Do you rely on fast travel often, or do you prefer exploring the world step by step without skipping areas? Share your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned to VGNW and X for more gaming guides and how-to tutorials.
