When Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora launched last year, it succeeded in taking players right into the heart of James Cameron’s legendary cinematic universe. Developed by Ubisoft, this open-world experience quickly drew attention with its visual grandeur and the uncharted nature of Pandora. Players not only got to learn more about Na’vi culture but also engaged in an epic struggle against the invading human forces.
One of the most praised aspects of the game was how Pandora was designed as a living ecosystem. And the long-awaited announcement has finally arrived: Ubisoft has revealed the expansion pack titled From the Ashes. This DLC will take players to both the Kinglor Forest and an entirely new region inspired by the film Avatar: Fire and Ash. For the first time, a more intense gameplay experience will be offered through a third-person camera perspective, while new enemy types and additional missions expand the story. From the Ashes can be purchased as a standalone for $24.99/€24.99, or together with the base game as the From the Ashes Edition for $39.99/€39.99. Players who pre-order will also gain access to the exclusive bonus content called “Floating Mountains.” Additionally, the update arriving on December 5 will add a New Game mode and the long-requested third-person camera support.
When is the From the Ashes DLC coming out?
With the From the Ashes DLC, the world of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is expanding even further. New regions, different enemies, and a deepened story exploring the Na’vi people’s struggle for survival promise a fresh experience for players. The From the Ashes DLC will launch on December 19, 2025, the same day Avatar: Fire and Ash hits theaters. This means both the game and the movie will be arriving to players and viewers simultaneously.
