Genshin Impact is once again pushing beyond its own limits. HoYoverse has officially announced a new feature built entirely around player creativity; the Miliastra Wonderland. This update signals not only an expansion of Genshin’s open-world RPG identity, but also a transformation into a platform that could host a variety of game types, much like other creation-based titles.
The reveal video released by HoYoverse shows just how ambitious this system really is. Miliastra Wonderland goes far beyond traditional combat quests, allowing players to create their own mini-games, maps, and puzzles. With it, anything from Overcooked-style cooking competitions to Rematch-like team battles or even turn-based combat systems becomes possible. In short, Genshin Impact is evolving from a story-driven RPG into a diverse creative universe shaped by its players’ imaginations. You can watch the Miliastra Wonderland trailer below:
The creation tools allow players to place individual objects, build quest chains, and even design AI-driven character behaviors. Essentially, much like Roblox, every player will be able to craft their own “game mode.” HoYoverse also announced that it will highlight and reward the most popular creations, offering both recognition and official support.
This system represents more than just a gameplay addition, it’s at the core of HoYoverse’s long-term strategy to extend Genshin’s lifespan. The studio aims to transform its community from one that waits for new content into one that creates it. It’s also seen as one of HoYoverse’s most ambitious moves toward building a stronger in-game economy and fostering lasting player loyalty.
Miliastra Wonderland is scheduled to launch at the end of this month. The first phase will roll out with limited tools, but future updates will add co-op support, themed worlds, and official event integrations.

The Genshin community, however, is already divided. Some are saying, “If Genshin gets a Roblox-like mode, I’m in,” while others worry that “if it loses its story and exploration focus, it’ll lose its magic.”
So what do you think? Is Genshin Impact truly turning into Roblox, or is HoYoverse simply giving players a new playground within its world? Share your thoughts below and follow VGNW and X page to catch up with latest news.
