Ubisoft has released a major new update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, introducing a fully playable third-person camera option; a feature fans have been asking for since launch. The update is available now for all players at no extra cost, giving newcomers and returning Na’vi a fresh way to explore the Western Frontier.
Switching to third-person dramatically changes how the world feels. Traversal, stealth, and combat take on a new sense of scale, letting players see more of their surroundings and their character animations in motion. It’s also a welcome addition for players who prefer a wider field of view instead of the game’s original first-person perspective.
Alongside the camera overhaul, the update brings New Game+, allowing players to restart the story while keeping their unlocked skills, gear, and progression. Enemies scale higher, encounters hit harder, and the Western Frontier becomes a tougher, more rewarding challenge for those who want to push the game’s systems further.
This is one of the most substantial post-launch additions yet, and it arrives at a crucial moment as Ubisoft continues refining the game through quality-of-life improvements and community-requested features.
